Police nabs Durga Prasai

KATHMANDU: Durga Prasai, coordinator of the Nation, Nationalism, Religion, Culture and Citizens Protection Grand Campaign and a medical entrepreneur, has been arrested by Nepal Police.

Police detained Prasai from the Chobhar area of Kathmandu, citing allegations of disrupting public peace and security, according to police sources.

This is not the first time Prasai has faced arrest.

He was previously taken into custody in Pokhara on Magh 5 and brought to Kathmandu, but was released on bail the following day.

Police said further investigation is underway regarding his latest arrest.
