KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balen Shah has stated that the government will conduct a comprehensive review of all commission reports related to various movements, protests, and incidents of state repression in Nepal and proceed with necessary actions based on their findings and recommendations.

Responding to a question raised by lawmaker Arjun Narsingha K.C during Sunday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, the Prime Minister emphasized that the review will not be limited to the reports of the National Human Rights Commission alone.

He noted that multiple commissions have been formed at different times to investigate incidents from various periods, including those related to the events of Bhadra 23 and 24, as well as other historical protests and rallies.

According to him, all such reports submitted to the government will be studied in an integrated manner.

“The government will thoroughly study all commission reports submitted to Nepal so far, not only those of the Human Rights Commission or those related to specific incidents. Based on their conclusions and recommendations, necessary actions will be taken accordingly,” the Prime Minister said.

He added that Nepal has witnessed numerous movements and protest-related incidents over different periods, resulting in multiple investigative reports.

The government, he assured, will systematically analyze all available documents before moving forward with implementation measures.

Earlier, MP Arjun Narsingha K.C. had urged the government to ensure effective implementation of the National Human Rights Commission’s recommendations.
