Petition filed to halt release of movie ‘Lalibazar’

KATHMANDU: A writ petition has been filed at the High Court Patan seeking to stop the release of the upcoming film “Lalibazar”, which is scheduled to hit theatres this Friday.

The petition was registered on Monday.

According to court information officer Govinda Prasad Koirala, the case was filed by Roshan Nepal on behalf of the plaintiff group.

The High Court has scheduled a hearing on the matter for today.

The film has been directed by filmmaker Yam Thapa.
