KATHMANDU: New Nepali film Paral Ko Aago, inspired by the classic short story from Naso by Guru Prasad Mainali, is all set to hit cinemas this Friday (April 24).
The film has already generated significant anticipation among audiences, fueled by its songs, teaser, trailer, and a strong ensemble cast.
With just three days left before release, cinemas across the country have begun opening advance ticket bookings.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the film has secured over 100 shows nationwide, with the number expected to rise to around 130 as more theaters open bookings.
Despite the strong start in terms of show allocation, the film now faces its biggest test—converting these shows into high occupancy rates.
Positive audience response will be crucial in determining its commercial success.
Favorable conditions such as a solo release and the weekend holiday period are expected to support its box office performance.
The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 15 minutes and features performances by Saugat Malla, Prakash Saput, Suhana Thapa, Srijana Adhikari, Shankar Acharya, Kishor Bhandari, Jack Shrestha, Sarita Bhandari, Renu Nyaupane, and Manjila Baniya.
Directed by Laxman Sunar and produced by Sushil Pokharel, the film features screenplay and dialogue by Sushil Devkota.
