KATHMANDU: Opposition parties have decided not to allow Parliament to function until Prime Minister Balen Shah appears in the House and tenders a public apology over his controversial remarks.
A meeting of opposition parties held today concluded that the Prime Minister’s statement was “treasonous” and demanded that it be removed from the official parliamentary record.
Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chief Whip Yubaraj Dulal said the parties jointly agreed to continue obstructing parliamentary proceedings unless their demands are addressed.
