KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chair of CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli, has expressed strong confidence that his party will secure a clear majority in the upcoming 2084 BS general elections.

Addressing the inaugural session of the party’s Second Statute Convention held at Sunrise Hall in Godawari, Lalitpur on Friday, Oli emphasized that with full mobilization of the party machinery, no force can prevent UML from winning a majority.

“We are moving forward with Mission 2084 with utmost seriousness. In the 2084 elections, we must — at the very least — achieve a single-party majority,” Oli declared. “If we, the entire party rank and file, along with all our sister organizations, committees, members, and supporters, actively engage with the people, no one can stop us from gaining a majority.”

Oli further stated that since the UML is currently leading the government, it will ensure the upcoming elections are free from any form of rigging or manipulation.

He pledged that the party would take strong measures to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.

“As the ruling party, we will not allow any election fraud. We are in the government and we will succeed in preventing any malpractice. The elections will be fair, free, and peaceful,” Oli said. “There will be no undue influence in the elections. I urge all comrades to plan and act accordingly, keeping this in mind.”

Reiterating the party’s commitment to Mission 2084, Prime Minister Oli directed all leaders and cadres to focus their efforts on securing a decisive victory in the upcoming polls.
