NEPSE drops 27.64 points, all sectors close in red

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 27.64 points today, closing at 2,595.24, marking a 1.05% decline.

A total of 322 companies traded 10,343,898 shares across 46,875 transactions, amounting to Rs 515.77 crore in turnover, according to NEPSE.

All sectoral indices ended in the negative today. Banking fell by 0.66%, Development Banks by 1.47%, Finance by 2.21%, Hotels & Tourism by 0.93%, Hydropower by 1.21%, and Investment Groups by 0.87%.

Other sectors also recorded losses, with Life Insurance down 1.44%, Manufacturing & Processing 0.91%, Microfinance 0.75%, Mutual Funds 0.31%, Non-Life Insurance 1.21%, Trading 0.11%, and the “Others” category 1.81%.

NRN Infrastructure & Development Ltd recorded the highest turnover of Rs 2.79 crore today, while Singati Hydro Energy Ltd saw the highest volume with 699,999 shares traded.
