NEPSE dips 5 points amid mixed trading

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) slipped by 5.17 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,566 points, down 0.20% from the previous session.

During the day, shares worth Rs 545.97 million were traded, with a total of 11,501,284 shares changing hands across 321 companies in 50,487 transactions.

Out of the traded companies, 85 saw their share prices rise, 159 witnessed a decline, and six remained unchanged.

Notably, three companies hit the circuit limit, gaining 10% in value.

Sector-wise, nine out of 13 groups ended lower, while four posted gains.

Investors showed particular interest in the hydropower sector, which emerged as the most actively traded segment of the day.
