KATHMANDU: Nepal and Myanmar played out a 2-2 draw in their final league-stage match of the Four-Nation International Women’s Football Championship on Sunday.

In the match held at Dasharath Stadium, both teams scored twice in the first half but failed to add to their tally in the second half.

Myanmar stunned the home crowd with an early goal in the 6th minute through a brilliant free-kick by Myat Noe Khin. However, Nepal responded quickly, with Sabita Rana Magar netting an equalizer in the 11th minute.

Myanmar regained the lead in the 17th minute as May Thu Kyaw found the back of the net. But Nepal fought back again, with star forward Sabitra Bhandari ‘Samba’ scoring in the 41st minute off a precise pass from Preeti Rai.
