Nepal Life Insurance elects new executive committee

KATHMANDU: The Sixth Annual General Meeting of the Life Insurance Association of Nepal concluded in Kathmandu, resulting in the formation of a new executive committee.

In accordance with LIAN’s bylaws, the newly formed executive committee includes Prakash Bikram Khatri (Surya Jyoti Life) as Vice Chair, Narayan Lohani (Reliable Nepal) as Secretary, Dinesh Lal Shrestha (Asian Life) as Treasurer, and members Manojalal Karn (Himalayan Life), Sundar Panthi (Rastriya Beema Sansthan), and Pranay Kumar (LIC Nepal).
The new committee has pledged to actively promote the growth of Nepal’s life insurance sector, enhance insurance awareness campaigns, strengthen the skills and rights of life insurance employees, expand accessible insurance services, implement programs for policyholders’ welfare, and play a proactive role in policy-making.
The AGM was attended by members of the association and representatives from various insurance companies, with discussions focusing on current challenges, emerging opportunities, and future strategies in Nepal’s life insurance sector.
