Nepal Bank celebrates 89th anniversary with grand ceremony
Established on Kartik 30, 1994 BS, the bank completed 88 years and entered its 89th year on Kartik 30, 2082 BS.
KATHMANDU: Nepal Bank Limited, the country’s first bank, has successfully celebrated its 89th anniversary in a grand event.
Established on Kartik 30, 1994 BS, the bank completed 88 years and entered its 89th year on Kartik 30, 2082 BS.
The anniversary ceremony was held at the bank’s head office premises and was presided over by Prof. Dr. Dilliraj Sharma, Chair of the Board of Directors.
The bank reported that nearly 1 million customers have benefited from its digital banking services.
In recent years, Nepal Bank Limited has focused on providing fast, efficient, and high-quality customer services through its young workforce, extending banking services across the country.
During the event, medals and certificates of appreciation were awarded to three employees for 25 years of continuous service and 53 employees for 20 years of service.
Security personnel from Gauradaha and New Baneshwor branches were also recognized for their crucial role in maintaining strong security under challenging circumstances.
Additionally, 12 branches that achieved outstanding performance based on regional and geographic criteria were honored.
In his concluding remarks, the chairman encouraged the staff to advance with greater strength in the days ahead, urging everyone to work with high morale and integrity within their respective roles.
He also assured the bank’s management of the board’s continued support.
