NCP finalizes 17 candidates for National Assembly election
While Congress and UML have already agreed on a seat-sharing arrangement for all 18 seats, the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) is set to receive one seat in the Madhesh Province.
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has finalized 17 candidates for the upcoming National Assembly election scheduled for Jan 25.
After failing to reach an alliance with the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML, the NCP decided to leave one seat in Gandaki Province vacant and contest the remaining seats independently.
While Congress and UML have already agreed on a seat-sharing arrangement for all 18 seats, the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) is set to receive one seat in the Madhesh Province.
