Movie ‘Kumari’ to release in Australia & Middle East tomorrow
Distributed in Australia by Three KG Events and Ascast Nepal, the film’s screening schedule has been announced across multiple states.
KATHMANDU: Nepali film ‘Kumari’, which premiered in Nepal last week to widespread critical acclaim and audience praise, is set to begin its international screenings tomorrow, Feb 12.
Distributors in Australia and the Middle East have confirmed that tickets for the film are already selling rapidly, signaling strong anticipation.
Officially releasing at the box office abroad, the film is emerging as one of this year’s most celebrated Nepali movies.
Distributed in Australia by Three KG Events and Ascast Nepal, the film’s screening schedule has been announced across multiple states.
In New South Wales, it will be shown in Burwood, Hornsby, Hurstville, and Parramatta.
Victoria will host screenings at Village Cinemas Sunshine and Airport West, Queensland at Event Cinemas Chermside, Adelaide at Event Cinemas Marion, Tasmania at Village Cinemas Glenorchy, and Perth at Event Cinemas Innaloo.
Additional cities will see the film released sequentially.
Simultaneously, the film will also premiere in Middle Eastern countries including the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar, with screenings across all major cities under the management of NepFilm.
Producer Mahendra Adhikari highlighted that strong demand from audiences has encouraged plans for releases in additional countries.
He confirmed that the film will soon be shown in the United States through Atreya Productions and Koseli Colorado, and in Canada via Mero Events.
Directed by Dinesh Raut, the film marks the debut of Abishek Khadka and Akriti Rajbhandari. Written by Bikash Subedi, the film’s song ‘Doko Bunne’ has become a major hit.
Produced under the Binish Entertainment banner, ‘Kumari’ tells a poignant love story centered around a young woman facing significant struggles in her life.
