KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has stressed the urgent need to showcase Nepal’s rich culture and natural beauty to the world.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Nepal Arts and Culture Festival, which began on Friday in Kathmandu, Minister Pandey highlighted the importance of promoting Nepal’s mountains, cultural heritage, and stories of pride on an international platform.
He emphasized the necessity of unveiling the historical and cultural narratives embedded in the Himalayan ranges such as Annapurna, Shankar Himal, and Mount Everest.
Minister Pandey expressed confidence that the festival would play a significant role in bringing Nepal’s arts and cultural gatherings to global attention.
He also praised the Nepal Arts Council for its vital contribution to the promotion of tourism in the country.
Furthermore, Minister Pandey reiterated the government’s commitment to achieving economic prosperity through the development of the tourism sector.
