KATHMANDU: Lalabala Theatre’s eighth batch of young performers showcased their talent and creativity in the play Basa Hai Ramrari on Saturday, delighting audiences at the Nepal Film Campus auditorium in Gaushala, Pingalasthan.

Aimed at nurturing creativity, confidence, and theatrical expression among children, Lalabala Theatre has been running regular acting classes since 2016.

Every Saturday, children enrolled in these classes undergo approximately six months of training in acting, expression, and stagecraft, followed by two months of continuous rehearsals leading to a public performance.

The latest production, Basa Hai Ramrari, written and directed by Tanka Chaulagain, featured enthusiastic performances by the young actors, whose natural dialogue delivery, expressive acting, and effective use of the stage captivated the audience.

The eighth batch included children from various schools, such as Sanvi Khadka, Aardhya Regmi, Subani, Utsav, Prabhakar, Shreems, Aarambha, Sivansaman Baidha, Divyansi, Girish, and Slokjungle, each bringing their unique energy and creativity to the performance.

Lalabala Theatre’s child actors have previously represented Nepal at international theatre festivals.

Most recently, the troupe performed Antim Hiu at an event in Australia, showcasing their talent on a global platform.

With Basa Hai Ramrari, the theatre continues its tradition of combining rigorous training with vibrant stage performances, providing children a platform to explore their potential and passion for the performing arts.
