KATHMANDU: Actress and producer Keki Adhikari, who recently achieved historic box office success with Boksi Ko Ghar, has officially commenced production of her new film Station.
The film was formally launched on Monday on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya with a auspicious time ceremony held at Bangla Mukhi Temple.
The event was attended by the film’s director, producers, and technical team.
Adhikari had earlier announced the project during the New Year. Alongside the announcement, a theme poster was unveiled, sparking curiosity among audiences.
The poster features an old wooden drawer containing mysterious objects, hinting that the film will revolve around a socially driven narrative with intriguing elements.
Following the success of Boksi Ko Ghar in 2081 B.S., Adhikari continues her collaboration with the same team for Station.
The film is being produced under the banner of Keki Adhikari Films and directed by Sulakshan Bharati, who has also written the story. Badri Adhikari is producing the film.
While the production has officially begun, the makers have yet to reveal the cast.
The team has intentionally kept details about the lead actors under wraps to maintain suspense and audience interest.
It also remains unclear whether Adhikari will appear on screen or focus solely on her role as a producer.
Filming is scheduled to begin from the third week, and the movie is set for nationwide release on Sept 4.
Given the strong audience response to the socially relevant and serious theme of Boksi Ko Ghar, Station is already being regarded as one of the most anticipated upcoming Nepali films.
