KATHMANDU: Callum Hudson-Odoi’s late winner reignited Nottingham Forest’s Champions League dreams as they stunned Manchester City 1-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.
The match at City Ground was evenly poised until the 83rd minute when Hudson-Odoi unleashed a powerful shot that City goalkeeper Ederson failed to stop.
Earlier, City had come close in the 14th minute when Nico González’s long-range strike rattled the post—their best chance of the match.
Hudson-Odoi had also tested Ederson earlier with a curling effort, but this time, his decisive finish secured a crucial win for Forest, ending their three-game winless streak.
With 51 points, Forest now sits third, four points ahead of fourth-placed City.
If Chelsea defeats Leicester City on Sunday, City could drop out of the top four.
