Harka Sampang displays placard in House session

KATHMANDU: Opposition parties obstructed the House of Representatives immediately after the session began on Tuesday, with lawmakers standing in protest.

Amid the uproar, all opposition MPs remained on their feet expressing dissent, while Shram Sanskriti Party chair Harka Sampang drew attention by displaying a placard inside the chamber.

Sampang had been absent in the previous two parliamentary sittings, during which the Prime Minister attended and delivered remarks that triggered controversy.

Returning to Parliament today, Sampang resumed his earlier style of vocal and visible protest alongside other opposition lawmakers.
