Gold prices rise, silver dips

KATHMANDU: Gold prices saw a modest increase today.

Compared to the previous trading day, gold rose by Rs 700 per tola, reaching Rs 239,700, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association.

Last Friday, gold had surged by Rs 2,700 per tola, highlighting the week’s ongoing price fluctuations.

Earlier, on Ashoj 31, gold had reached an all-time high of Rs 258,000 per tola in Nepal.

Meanwhile, silver prices declined slightly, dropping Rs 5 per tola to trade at Rs 3,055.
