Gold price surges

KATHMANDU: Gold prices in Nepal witnessed a significant rise on Tuesday.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of one tola of standard gold increased by Rs 4,900, reaching Rs 246,400.

On Monday, gold was traded at Rs 241,500 per tola.

Silver prices also saw an upward trend.

The price of one tola of silver rose from Rs 3,065 on Monday to Rs 3,170 on Tuesday, the association reported.

The association further stated that the price of 10 grams of gold stood at Rs 211,250, while 10 grams of silver was traded at Rs 2,718.
