Gold price sees minor dip after hitting historic high

KATHMANDU: After weeks of continuous rise, gold prices in Nepal experienced a slight decline on Thursday.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold fell by Rs 1,500 per tola, bringing the rate for standard gold coins toPRs 276,500 per tola.

Gold had reached a record high of Rs 278,000 per tola on Wednesday, marking an all-time peak in the Nepali market.

Thursday’s drop reflects a brief correction after the historic surge.

Silver prices also dipped on Thursday, with the tola rate dropping from Wednesday’s Rs 5,655 to Rs 5,485.
