Gold price hits new high in Nepalese market

KATHMANDU: Gold prices in the Nepalese market reached a new peak on Friday.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the price of Chhapawal gold rose by Rs 2,700 per tola, reaching Rs 239,000.

This is a significant increase compared to Thursday, when gold was traded at Rs 236,300 per tola.

Silver prices also saw a rise, climbing from Rs 2,980 per tola on Thursday to Rs 3,060 on Friday, the association reported.

The surge in precious metal prices has injected positive momentum into the market.

As per the association, the price of gold per 10 grams is now NPR 204,905, while silver per 10 grams is being traded at Rs 2,623.50.
