KATHMANDU: Premier League club Everton has sacked head coach Frank Lampard.

According to the Daily Mail, Lampard was fired by Everton after the team continued to struggle in the Premier League.

This season, Everton is in the Premier League relegation zone.

Everton only lost 2-0 to West Ham on Saturday. Everton have lost 8 of their last 9 matches in all competitions under Lampard’s leadership.

Everton currently is in 19th place with 15 points.

Following the dismissal of Rafael Benítez, former England midfielder Lampard was appointed as Everton’s head coach.

Lampard, 43, agreed to terms with Everton on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
