DishHome–Baharakhari 7th Story Writing Contest 2082 announced

KATHMANDU: Baharakhari Media has announced a call for entries for the “DishHome Seventh Baharakhari Story Writing Contest, 2082.”

This year, the media house has increased the prize amounts compared to previous editions.
The top three stories will receive cash prizes of Rs 200,000, Rs 100,000, and Rs 60,000 respectively, along with certificates.
The remaining 22 selected writers whose stories are chosen for publication will each be awarded Rs 7,000 as an honorarium.
Baharakhari Media stated that the competition aims to promote and encourage Nepali story writing.
Writers from around the world are eligible to participate, provided their submissions are original, unpublished, and written in Nepali.
Each story must be between 1,500 and 4,000 words and submitted in Word file format via email by Kartik 30.
Re-submitting previously entered stories is not allowed, and participants are prohibited from publishing or broadcasting their stories elsewhere until the results are officially announced.
If any selected story is found to have been published or aired before the results, its award will be revoked.
According to Baharakhari Media, the contest offers the highest cash prizes among Nepali story-writing competitions.
