Dharel appointed Denmark’s Ambassador to Nepal
Dharel, who has served as Denmark’s Trade Envoy to Nepal since 2017, has now been promoted to Ambassador.
KATHMANDU: Hari Dharel has been appointed as Denmark’s Ambassador to Nepal.
Dharel, who has served as Denmark’s Trade Envoy to Nepal since 2017, has now been promoted to Ambassador by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs upon the recommendation of the Danish government.
Under the Foreign Consular Regulations of Nepal, 2039 BS, Dharel has been designated as the Consul General of the Kingdom of Denmark.
With over 35 years of professional experience in Nepal’s mountain tourism sector, Dharel has been active in diplomatic work for the past eight years, fostering Nepal–Denmark relations at the grassroots level.
The Ambassador emphasized his commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties and expressed his intent to advocate for the return of Denmark’s embassy, which had been relocated from Kathmandu to New Delhi, back to Nepal.
