KATHMANDU: The death toll in the ongoing Gen-Z protests has climbed to seven, following the deaths of several injured demonstrators during treatment at different hospitals in the capital.

Earlier, one death was confirmed at Civil Hospital and another at Kathmandu Medical College (KMC).
In addition, one protester was fatally shot outside the Parliament building in New Baneshwor.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the exact number of protesters hit by live rounds.
Meanwhile, hospitals across the city continue to treat dozens of injured demonstrators, with several reported to be in critical condition.
The situation in Kathmandu remains tense as protests intensify amid rising casualties.
