Comedian Sagar Lamsal taken to attorney’s office for questioning

KATHMANDU: Comedian Sagar Lamsal, popularly known as “Bale”, has been taken to the government attorney’s office from police custody for questioning ahead of a possible extension of his remand.

Police detained Lamsal on Saturday following a social media post made by a female artist based in the United States.

Authorities escorted him to the government attorney’s office in handcuffs and detainee attire.

Although no formal complaint has been filed against him, police are preparing to pursue a case under charges related to disturbing public peace and security.
