Bhattarai appointed as representative director of NIC Asia Laghubitta
Mr. Bhattarai succeeds Mr. Suman Thapaliya, who had been representing the founder group on behalf of NIC Asia Bank Ltd.
KATHMANDU: NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. has appointed Mr. Diwakar Bhattarai as the representative director from the founding group, following a decision by the board of directors of its founder, NIC Asia Bank Ltd.
The appointment, made in the board meeting of the microfinance institution held on 19th Kartik 2082 BS, is effective until the upcoming annual general meeting.
Mr. Bhattarai succeeds Mr. Suman Thapaliya, who had been representing the founder group on behalf of NIC Asia Bank Ltd.
The newly appointed director, Mr. Bhattarai, has taken the oath of office before the institution’s chairperson, Mr. Prakash Raj Sharma.
With 16 years of experience in the banking sector, he is currently serving at NIC Asia Bank Ltd. in a senior managerial role.
The institution expressed confidence that Mr. Bhattarai’s expertise and experience will support its strategic goals and help establish NIC Asia Laghubitta as a leading, strong, and sustainable microfinance institution in the sector.
