‘Ba: Ek Yoddha’ to release nationwide on Sept 4
Directed by Hari Lamsal, the film is scheduled for release on the eve of Kushe Aunsi, also known as Father’s Day, following mutual agreement with distributors.
KATHMANDU: The official release date of the upcoming Nepali film “Ba: Ek Yoddha” has been announced. According to the production team, the film will hit cinemas across the country simultaneously on Sept 4.
Directed by Hari Lamsal, the film is scheduled for release on the eve of Kushe Aunsi, also known as Father’s Day, following mutual agreement with distributors.
Renowned music composer Hari Lamsal, who has contributed numerous timeless songs to the Nepali music industry, is making his directorial debut with this film. The project is produced under the banner of Artistic Entertainment.
Lamsal himself has developed the story, screenplay, music, and vocals for the film, adding a multi-dimensional creative touch to the project.
His transition into direction has already sparked curiosity and anticipation regarding his storytelling and cinematic vision.
The film is produced by Basanta Lamsal, who is also a singer and creator. He had previously produced the film “Karma”, which featured actor Bipin Karki in a lead role.
“Ba: Ek Yoddha” aims to highlight an emotional and sensitive aspect of Nepali society. The film explores the sacrifices, struggles, and lifelong responsibilities of a father, portraying him as a “warrior” who silently fights for his children’s future.
The shooting of the film began on Chaitra 9, and from the early stages of production, the team maintained suspense around the cast.
Recently, it was revealed that actress Jharana Thapa, her daughter Suhana Thapa, and actor Divyadev Panta are playing lead roles.
For the first time, real-life mother and daughter Jharana and Suhana Thapa will share the screen together, portraying mother and daughter characters in the film as well.
Cinematography is handled by Shyamaraj Shrestha, known for his acclaimed work in successful films such as “Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi,” “Boksi Ko Ghar,” and “Paran.” The film is expected to deliver strong visual storytelling.
Assistant director Tara Nath Neupane is also part of the project. With Artistic Entertainment’s track record of quality productions, the film is expected to offer a powerful blend of emotional depth and social drama, wrapped in engaging entertainment for the audience.
