KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Ashika Tamang has called on Prime Minister Balen Shah to publicly present factual evidence regarding allegations that Nepal has encroached upon Indian territory.

Reacting to the Prime Minister’s recent remarks in Parliament suggesting that border encroachment may have occurred on both sides, Tamang said the statement represents a new and unexpected narrative compared to previously known facts.

She argued that for years the public has only been aware of alleged encroachment by India, and the latest claim has raised serious questions that require official clarification.

In her statement, she urged the Prime Minister to disclose specific locations and evidence where Nepal has allegedly encroached upon Indian land. She expressed confidence that such claims, if true, would be substantiated with verified facts.

Tamang emphasized that the issue concerns national sensitivity and called for transparency and evidence-based clarification from the government.
