Actress Namrata Sapkota weds Ojas

KATHMANDU: Actress and Osho ascetic Namrata Sapkota has entered into marital life, tying the knot with a young man named Ojas on Thursday.

The wedding ceremony was held at Namrata’s private residence in Kathmandu, with only close family members from both sides in attendance, keeping the celebration intimate and personal.

For the wedding, Namrata chose a traditional outfit adorned with the iconic laligurans (rhododendron) motif and wore a decorative shirphool (traditional head ornament), reflecting cultural elegance and grace.

Her husband Ojas was seen dressed in a classic sherwani, complementing the ceremonial look of the occasion.

A day earlier, on Wednesday evening, Namrata had shared a glimpse from her mehendi ceremony on social media, subtly hinting at her upcoming wedding.

However, she had not revealed any details about her partner at the time.

In 2021, Namrata had drawn significant attention on social media following a candid statement about her views on marriage and motherhood.

She had openly shared that if she did not get married within the next three to four years, she would consider becoming a mother regardless, adding that her parents were aware of her perspective.

The remark had sparked widespread discussion and trolling across social platforms.

On the professional front, Namrata was last seen in the film Nambari Sun.

She made her acting debut in Antaraal and has since appeared in more than a dozen Nepali films.

Among her projects, her most successful film to date remains Chhakka Panja, where she starred opposite actor Jitu Nepal.
