Presenting the budget on Friday, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle said that 31 bodies will be scrapped, while 6 will be merged, 6 transferred, and 18 reorganized under a broader efficiency-driven reform of state institutions.

The minister also stated that the government will continue to enhance the service facilities of civil servants and security personnel to support a dignified standard of living and strengthen public sector efficiency.
