18 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: APRIL. 23 – The Ministry of Health and Population reported 18 new cases of COVID-19 in the country in the last 24 hours.

All the confirmed cases were detected through the RT-PCR method.

A total of 4,947 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 3,691 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,256 through the Antigen method.

During this time, no COVID-related fatalities were reported. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,951 to date.

There are currently 283 active COVID-19 cases in the country.
