KATHMANDU: The Congress stated that the meeting with CPN Unified Samajwadi Party Chair Madhav Nepal was pleasant.

The team of Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Leader Arzu Deuba, and Leader Ramesh Lekhak, who reached in Koteshwor just now to meet with Nepal, claimed the negotiations were positive.

Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak, who attended the meeting, stated that the talk was pleasant. “There was a discussion about the changed and developed political developments,” he told the reporters. “There was a positive conversation.” We shall continue.

Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Prime Minister and Chair of the Maoist Centre, severed the coalition with the Congress and the United Socialists, forming a new alliance with the CPN-UML and the RSP, and reconstituting the Council of Ministers.

Deuba went to Nepal while the main leaders of the UML and Maoists were working to enlist Madhav Nepal-led United Socialists in the new coalition.

It is thought that the Congress is attempting to prevent Madhav Nepal from joining the new coalition.

According to the center’s new power equation, despite attempts to replace the administration in several states, the unified socialism has proved decisive. As a result, the meeting between Deuba and Nepal is regarded significant.
