‘12 Gaun 2’ shooting begins; set for Dashain release (photos)

KATHMANDU: The production of the highly anticipated Nepali action film “12 Gaun 2”, the sequel to the successful franchise “12 Gaun”, has officially begun.

According to the production team, the film will be shot across multiple locations including Kathmandu, Sindhupalchowk, and Chitwan.
The makers have announced that the film is scheduled for release during the Dashain festival, targeting the Phulpati holiday.
The cast features Biraj Bhatta alongside Samir Bhatta, Anoop Bikram Shahi, Kafia Shahi, Barsha Itani, Khushi Karki, Prakash Shah, Sunil Pokharel, Kanij Koirala, Kalu Rana, Pushkar Bhatta, Shiv Kumar Singh, Sahit Singh Thakuri, and Purna Bahadur Gandharva.
Cinematography is handled by Mahesh Paudel, while the story and screenplay are written by Santosh Sarkar.
Action sequences will be choreographed by Eastner Silva and Shankar Maharjan, promising high-intensity stunt work.
The background score is composed by Kalacharan and Geeta Gurappa, while the music team includes Yug Bhusal, Devendra Baral, and DP Khanal.
Playback singers include Sugam Pokharel, Samikshya Adhikari, Prerana Singh, Kiran Bhujel, and Nishan Bhattarai.
Production management is overseen by Bhola Subedi (RJ Pranab) and Ramesh Khadka, with choreography by Siyon Shrestha.
Distribution rights have been secured by Kafia Films Pvt. Ltd. for the Kathmandu Valley and Kuber Films for outside the valley.
With a strong ensemble cast and a focus on action and entertainment, “12 Gaun 2” is already generating significant anticipation among Nepali cinema audiences.
