11 construction companies blacklisted

KATHMANDU: The government has blacklisted 11 construction companies from Achham to Arghakhanchi for failing to complete projects on time.

The Public Procurement Monitoring Office under the Prime Minister’s Office issued a public notice on Monday announcing the decision.

The companies blacklisted include Shubha R.S. Builders Suppliers (Banke), Navin Nirman Sewa (Achham), J.M.C. Construction Pvt. Ltd. (Surkhet), and Kashyam Nirman Sewa & Suppliers (Kathmandu).

Other companies on the list are Bishal Home Construction Service (Udayapur), Jaleshwori Mahadev Yashvi Construction (Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu), Sagun Fabrics Pvt. Ltd. (Morang), Galaxy Construction & Suppliers Pvt. Ltd. (Kathmandu), Jalpa Nirman Sewa & Suppliers, Mashta Bhawani Construction Service (Dolpa), and Shaheed Nirman Sewa (Arghakhanchi).

According to the notice, Kashyam Nirman Sewa & Suppliers has been blacklisted for two years, Mashta Bhawani Construction Service for one and a half years, while the remaining companies have been blacklisted for one year.

The decision followed recommendations from the Infrastructure Development Office (Okhaldhunga), Lisankhu Pakhar Rural Municipality (Sindhupalchok), Jiri Municipality (Dolakha), Agriculture Infrastructure Development and Mechanization Promotion Center (Harihar Bhawan), Gurbhakot Municipality (Surkhet), Road Division Office (Surkhet), Solududhkunda Municipality (Solukhumbu), Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (Kathmandu), Chharka Tangsong Rural Municipality (Dolpa), and Road Division Office (Kapilvastu).

During the blacklist period, these companies will be barred from participating in any public procurement processes.
