US forces intercept two Iranian ballistic missiles targeting Kuwait-based troops

KATHMANDU: The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that American forces successfully intercepted and destroyed two Iranian ballistic missiles aimed at U.S. military personnel stationed in Kuwait.

In a statement shared on social media platform X on Monday, CENTCOM said the missiles were launched late Sunday. U.S. defense systems detected and neutralized the incoming threats in the air before they could reach their targets.

The command further stated that no U.S. personnel were injured and no casualties or damage were reported in the incident.
