Trump warns of harsh military strike on Iran

KATHMANDU: U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a warning of what he described as the toughest military action ever taken against the Iranian regime, expressing outrage over the recent deaths of American soldiers in ongoing conflicts.
In a video message posted on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said preparations were underway for a massive strike against Iran.
He claimed the United States was launching a large-scale military operation, framing it not only as a response to immediate security threats but also as a move to safeguard future generations.
“We are carrying out a major and decisive military operation,” Trump said. “This is not only about protecting our present time and place, but about securing the future of our children and their children.” He described the action as a moral duty to defend free citizens.
Trump labeled the current Iranian leadership as “extremist and bloodthirsty terrorists,” arguing that military action was unavoidable to protect the American people and the world from a nuclear-armed Iran.
He added that Iran had signaled it would continue its attacks until its objectives were achieved, prompting what he called a firm and uncompromising response.
Analysts warn that such a military campaign could further complicate the political and security situation in the Middle East.
Trump reiterated that the United States would not back down and that the sacrifices of American troops would not be in vain.
