KATHMANDU: Spanish giants Real Madrid have stormed into the Round of 16 of the ongoing Club World Cup in the United States, finishing as Group H winners with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Austrian side FC Salzburg.

The Spanish side went into the break with a commanding 2-0 advantage.
Salzburg struggled to make a comeback in the second half, and their hopes were dashed when Gonzalo García added Real’s third in the 84th minute to seal the win.
With this result, Real Madrid finished the group stage with 7 points from 3 matches.
Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal secured second place in the group with 5 points after defeating Mexican side Pachuca 2-0.
Salzburg exited the tournament with 4 points, while Pachuca, managing just one, also bowed out of the competition.
