Rawat’s health is critical, admitted to hospital

KATHMANDU: DEC. 8 – Indian Defense Minister Bipin Rawat, who was critically injured in a helicopter crash in the jungles of Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, has been admitted to hospital. Rawat was seriously injured when an Indian Army MI-17V5 helicopter crashed.

Rawat was accompanied by 14 military officers, including his wife Madhulika, in the helicopter. According to Indian News, 11 bodies have been found so far by the police at the spot.

About an hour after the crash, General Rawat was taken to a military hospital in Wellington. But his condition is critical. The Indian Army has not issued any official statement in this regard.
