KATHMANDU: Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo etched his name further into football history at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday, becoming the first player ever to score in six different World Cup editions.
Ronaldo reached the milestone by finding the net in the sixth minute of Portugal’s match against Uzbekistan, adding another remarkable achievement to his illustrious career.
The goal also made Ronaldo the second-oldest player to score in a FIFA World Cup.
The record is still held by Roger Milla, who scored at the 1994 World Cup at the age of 42.
The latest feat further cements Ronaldo’s legacy as one of the greatest players in World Cup history.
