PM Oli invites Turkmenistan President to visit Nepal

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extended an official invitation to Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedow to visit Nepal.
The invitation was made during a bilateral meeting held today on the sidelines of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), currently taking place in Awaza, Turkmenistan.
Speaking briefly to the press following the meeting, Prime Minister Oli said the discussion focused on strengthening bilateral ties through mutual cooperation, shared interests, and collaborative efforts.
He emphasized the need to deepen relations between the two nations in a productive and result-oriented manner.
PM Oli also praised Turkmenistan’s rapid development in a short period and informed President Berdimuhamedow about Nepal’s anticipated graduation to developing country status by 2026.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Oli expressed his gratitude to the Turkmenistan President for hosting the high-level UN conference so successfully.
He is scheduled to hold additional meetings with heads of state and government leaders from other participating nations throughout the day.
The UN LLDC conference, held every ten years, serves as a vital platform for addressing the unique development challenges faced by landlocked developing nations.
Prime Minister Oli is leading the Nepali delegation and actively participating in various official sessions and high-level discussions.
