Pakistan, Iran FMs hold talks on regional tensions & peace efforts
Both sides agreed on the need for continued diplomatic efforts to address current challenges and promote lasting peace in the region and beyond.
KATHMANDU: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation on Sunday night, focusing on recent regional developments and ongoing efforts to maintain peace.
According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders discussed ways to reduce tensions and advance dialogue through diplomatic channels.
The conversation highlighted Pakistan’s role in promoting regional stability and facilitating engagement among concerned parties.
During the call, Araghchi appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and mediation efforts in easing regional tensions. He acknowledged Islamabad’s active involvement in fostering stability.
Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to constructive diplomatic engagement, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving ongoing disputes and ensuring long-term regional peace.
