The incident has deepened public grief in the area, with locals holding prayers for the victims.
Despite repeated international calls for de-escalation, Israeli airstrikes continue across multiple towns in southern Lebanon amid ongoing cross-border tensions with Israel.
According to Lebanon’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center, a total of 2,846 people have been killed and 8,693 injured in Israeli strikes between March 2 and May 10, highlighting the worsening humanitarian crisis in the region.
