NEPSE declines on Wednesday, trading volume also falls

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed lower on Wednesday, dropping 4.98 points to settle at 2,561 points, a decline of 0.19%.

While Tuesday had recorded transactions worth over Rs 4 billion, today’s turnover slipped to around Rs 3.77 billion.
Throughout the day, a total of 83,88,373 shares worth Rs 3.77 billion were traded.
At market close, prices of 77 companies increased, while 170 companies saw their share prices decline.
The prices of 9 companies remained unchanged. Shares of 338 companies were traded, with 50,626 transactions recorded.
Despite the market downturn, 8 companies hit the positive circuit level.
Among the 13 sector groups, Hotels & Tourism, Manufacturing & Processing, Mutual Funds, and Trading sectors closed higher, while the remaining 10 sectors ended in the red.
