KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its upward momentum on Tuesday, posting a notable gain by the market close.
NEPSE climbed 15.70 points, marking a 0.61% increase, and settled at 2,566 points.
For the second consecutive day, both the index and overall trading volume increased.
Throughout the day, shares worth Rs 4.10 billion were traded, with a total of 9,255,457 units changing hands.
Market performance remained largely positive:

207 companies saw their share prices rise,

44 companies recorded a decline, and

5 companies closed unchanged.
A total of 345 companies participated in transactions, generating 55,277 trades. All 13 sectoral indices closed in the green, reflecting broad market optimism.
Among investors, the Hotel and Tourism sector stood out as the top performer, gaining 1.28% and drawing the most interest.
The continued rise signals improving sentiment and robust activity in Nepal’s stock market.
