Its high quality and authentic character are helping Lao coffee carve out a strong identity worldwide.

Sinouk Sisombat, founder of Sinouk Coffee and former president of the Lao Coffee Association, says his journey began with studying coffee cultivation on the Bolaven Plateau, the heartland of coffee production in Laos.

Today, coffee stands as one of the country’s key agricultural export commodities, providing employment and a vital source of income for thousands of Lao citizens.

In 2024, Laos exported more than 50,000 tonnes of coffee, generating over USD 100 million in revenue, underscoring the sector’s growing importance to the national economy and its rising stature in the global coffee market.
