KATHMANDU: Secondary school students in Kuwait have resumed in-person classes from Sunday after nearly two months of remote learning introduced due to regional security concerns.

The government has ended the “distance learning” arrangement and restored physical attendance in a phased manner, following a directive issued by the Ministry of Education on April 28.

As per the plan, students of grades 10, 11, and 12 began returning to schools from May 3.

The ministry stated that the decision reflects a gradual normalization of educational activities across the country.

With the reopening of schools, student transport services have also resumed, improving accessibility for both boys and girls.

Authorities had earlier shifted classes online as a precautionary measure, citing potential risks from escalating regional tensions.

The return to classrooms is expected to strengthen structured, campus-based learning after weeks of disruption.
