KMC’s free health camp: 900 patients benefited

KATHMANDU: On Thursday, more than 900 patients benefited from a free health camp held at Thecho in Lalitpur’s Godawari Municipality-12. The camp is being held in Sinamangal, Kathmandu, in collaboration with Kathmandu Medical College, Senior Citizen Chautari, and Godawari Municipality Ward No. 12.

Doctors from KMC provided free health checks to 982 people at the Dalucha Garden camp. According to Narayan Dahal, general manager of KMC, 227 people had blood tests, 198 had video X-rays, and 121 had heart tests (ECG). According to him, 31 people with dental problems had their teeth extracted. Likewise, 42 patients who were unable to be treated at the camp have been referred to a hospital for surgery.

KMC had previously held a health camp in Kirtipur on Tuesday, where 1133 people were treated for free. According to Dr. Sunil Sharma, Chairperson of KMC, the operation of free health camps has been expanded with the goal of providing access to sensitive areas such as health to all.
