KATHMANDU: Iran’s Interior Ministry has stated that the country is facing no disruption in the supply of essential goods and that efforts to economically or commercially blockade Iran are “impossible.”
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, ministry spokesperson Ali Zeniwand said the nation’s supply chain and internal security situation remain stable.
He noted that while some technical disruptions have been observed in imports through southern borders, supply routes via the eastern, western, and northern crossings continue to operate normally.
According to Zeniwand, the government has also delegated greater authority to provincial governors to ensure the steady availability of raw materials for local industries and workshops.
He added that coordination with neighboring provinces and countries has been strengthened to maintain smooth supply flows.
On security matters, the spokesperson said Iranian armed forces are maintaining a high level of alertness.
He claimed that Iran’s military preparedness and capability are significantly stronger than before the recent tensions involving the United States and Israel.
Zeniwand further stated that security forces have successfully foiled minor attempts by foreign actors to disrupt internal stability.
He reassured citizens that the government remains fully committed to maintaining the uninterrupted supply of essential goods and safeguarding national security.
